I read this book in a day an a half . I couldn't put it down. I find books by Elvis's girlfriends to be very interesting. I didn't know what to think about this book . It's a complete opposite of what Ginger Alden wrote in her book . The two books contradict each other . You don't know who's telling the truth . You can only guess . One things for sure June did not like Ginger Alden . I do recommend this book . I've passed it on to my daughter , she wants to read it . If you're an Elvis fan I would buy the book definitely . You can come to your own conclusions .
Loved this book. I am close friends with many from EP's inner circle so I know a lot about him. This book gave me a whole new insight into Gladys. It also showed me a side of Elvis that I did not know before. I highly recommend this book. I could not put it down. I would climb into bed at night, intending to read one chapter and 5 or 6 chapters later, I would force myself to put it down.
Without a doubt my most favorite Elvis book. Have read it several times (I'd be embarassed to say how many times I go back to this beautiful love story.) Bought another copy as a gift for a friend and she loved it too. My first book is starting to fall apart so I ordered another one as a keepsake. Thanks to June for sharing your story from the early years.
As a fan of EP it left me with a lot of “What if’s & if only’sâ€. It gave a lot of insight & beautifully written. I’ve read about 10 books now on E.P. and from June’s account, E’s days in Biloxi were his happiest & appears that a lot of these memories carried with him through his life like the firework wars, riding horses, the “ circle†ranch. I couldn’t put it down. Read it in one day. High praise to June.
June Juanico did a wonderful job with this book...she tells the story in such a way that the reader feels that they are actually witnessing the events as they transpire...one of the best Elvis books I have read..

Enjoyed it a lot.Maybe cause we had spent winter months in Ocean Springs for some years made it very interesting .I didn't want it to end and worried about how it would end . The ending helped me feel better about it ending .The book was well written.A great love story ...
I have read a lot of Elvis books and this is one of the best ones. I had a hard time putting it down.
